Mrs. Lesley McDonald received her MA and BS from the University of Alabama, and is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. She has been an instructor for campus and distance nutrition courses since 2014. Mrs. McDonald has been a practicing dietitian in the clinical and community settings, where her area of expertise is public health, and maternal and child health.
She spends most of her time away from work giving back to the dietetics community. Mrs. McDonald is the current President of the Alabama Dietetic Association, and has previously served as the Council of Professional Issues Chair for the Alabama Dietetic Association from 2018-2020, and President of the Birmingham District Dietetic Association from 2016-2017 . She is also a member of the Nutrition & Dietetics Educators and Preceptors group, within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
